Do I have Enoguh? 😧
News of The Week🗞️
OpenAI's board fired Sam Altman, the company's CEO and co-founder, after an internal investigation. The board concluded that Altman was not consistently candid in his communications with the board. The board lost confidence in Altman's ability to lead OpenAI.
And in an interesting turn of events, the same board was asked to resign by the staff whereas Sam Altman went on to work for Microsoft. Satya Nadella also played an important role in absorbing Sam and his team after he was ousted from Open AI.
At the time of writing this news, there is no clear reason given for Sam’s ouster, and Elon Musk is doubting that Chat GPT might have gone on to become an AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) and has asked one of the board members called Ilya Sutskever, who was instrumental in firing Sam but he later took to Twitter/X saying that he is sorry for his actions and would do everything to bring Sam back. I have shared a link to a TED video which was released shortly after that Open AI fiasco, where Ilya Sutskever can be seen talking about his fear of AGI.
Do I have Enough?
Hey there, road warriors! 🚗 Ever been stuck in traffic that felt like an eternity, especially during festival season? I feel you! Picture this: intersections turning into chaos because everyone's racing to squeeze through the tiniest gap, creating a traffic jam nightmare. It's like a game of vehicular Tetris gone wrong.
Now, let's dive into why this happens. It's not just about the lack of traffic lights – it's a symptom of what I like to call the "Shortage Syndrome." People act like there's a scarcity of road to share, fearing they'll miss out on their chance to move an inch. It's like a relic from the colonial era when resources were exploited, leaving us with this deep-seated fear of missing out. This got me thinking, and then I stumbled upon an old Seth Godin podcast episode about Moore's Law.
But wait, why bring up Moore's law in the middle of this traffic tale? Well, buckle up! Moore's law, which predicts a doubling of computational power every 18 months, isn't just about tech. It's a reminder that we're living in an age of abundance, not scarcity. Your smartphone has more oomph than NASA's moon mission computer – crazy, right?
So, here's the twist – I'm proposing a traffic jam theory meets entrepreneurial mindset shift. In a world where venture capital and angel investors are flowing like confetti, we need to ditch the scarcity mindset. The problem: a shortage mentality causing chaos on the roads. It aggravates when everyone competes for that tiny spot at the intersection.
Now, the solution? Entrepreneurs, listen up! Embrace the mindset of abundance. There's a feast of customers and problems waiting for your genius solutions. The world isn't running out of opportunities; it's practically raining them! So, let's flip the script, discard those scarcity notions, and drive into the entrepreneurial world with a tank full of abundance. 🚀
